The EV-S9000E sits at the top of Sony’s 8mm range, the deck people still hunt down when they need to get Hi8 and Video8 tapes onto something modern with the picture intact.
It has a built-in time base corrector, and for most buyers that is the whole point. A TBC steadies the signal from tapes that have aged, warped, or were recorded on a camcorder that was never quite in spec. It reads both PAL and SECAM.
The figures under the Specifications tab are taken from the Sony service manual for this model.
We hold several of these machines under this one listing. You will get the grade you select, but cosmetic condition varies from unit to unit. Ask us and we will send photographs of the specific deck we would ship to you.

Device works without issues
Device works without issues. The shipment was somewhat wonky with the package "being checked" for a week but this was not the fault of the seller. The player was very well packaged and everything worked as described. No issues on my part.
