PAL and SECAM tapes both play and record on the DVR-RT400, a VHS deck from Pioneer, with four heads driving playback and hi-fi sound built in. Composite video, SCART and an RF/antenna socket sit on the back, enough to wire into most televisions without an extra adapter. Reading SECAM as well as PAL means a French tape or similar dual-standard recording plays without hunting for separate equipment.

Device works without issues
Device works without issues. The shipment was somewhat wonky with the package "being checked" for a week but this was not the fault of the seller. The player was very well packaged and everything worked as described. No issues on my part.
