Video2000 cassettes record on both sides, flipped over like an audio tape, and the VR2840 is built around that two-sided Philips format rather than the single-pass mechanism used in VHS. The cabinet is notably shallow at 247 mm deep, and power consumption is rated at 45 W. Two video heads handle PAL playback, connecting through SCART or a straight RF/antenna lead.

Device works without issues
Device works without issues. The shipment was somewhat wonky with the package "being checked" for a week but this was not the fault of the seller. The player was very well packaged and everything worked as described. No issues on my part.
